The Forest Management Bureau through its National Greening Program Coordinating Office conducted a
workshop on Data Capture Forms for DAO 2023-09 or the Guidelines in the Conduct of Inventory and
Assessment of Graduated National Greening Program (NGP) Plantations by Third-party Evaluators, and
spatial assessment using Remotely-Piloted Aircraft (RPA) on November 25 to 27, 2023 in Laguna.
The said workshop was participated by different sections from the Forest Resources Conservation
Division (FRCD) of the Bureau which includes the Forest Protection Section (FPS), Environmental Forestry
Section (EFS), Watershed Ecosystem Management Section (WEMS), and Reforestation and Forest
Rehabilitation Section (RFRS).
Resource speakers from FPS, EFS, WEMS, RFRS, Ecosystems Research and Development Bureau (ERDB),
and Makiling Center for Mountain Ecosystems – University of the Philippines, Los Baños (MCME-UPLB)
were invited to share their knowledge and expertise in RPA and on DAO 2023-09. The three-day
workshop also includes a hands-on group drone operating session.
