National Consultation Workshop on the revisions of government accounting manual (GAM) for the enhanced national greening program (engp) activities

This national workshop served as a platform to examine key issues, challenges, and concerns related to existing government accounting rules for reforestation. It also aims to streamline and harmonize various regulations to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of program implementation.
The Forest Management Bureau has conducted the National Consultation Workshop on the Revisions of the Government Accounting Manual (GAM) for the Enhanced National Greening Program at the Ardenhills Suite, Quezon City from March 2-4, 2025.
By the conclusion of the workshop, the Bureau addressed the concerns, observations, and recommendations of the Commission on Audit (COA) regarding reforestation, ensuring greater alignment with financial and operational best practices and regulations.
GAM Volume I currently provides guidance for all government projects, including reforestation activities under the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR).
This three-day workshop was joined by selected representatives from FMB, DENR Central Office, BMB, and DENR Regional Offices, including representatives from the NGP Coordinating Offices, Accounting Divisions/Sections/Units, and Planning Divisions/Sections/Units.
