National Orientation Workshop for the Implementation of DAO 2023-09

The first day of the National Orientation Workshop for the Implementation of DAO 2023-09 – “Guidelines in the Conduct of Site Inventory and Assessment of Graduated National Greening Program Plantations by Third-Party Evaluators” – is currently being held at Whiterock Beach Resort in Subic, Zambales by the Forest Management Bureau.
The activity’s objective is to have a uniform process on contracting of third-party evaluators for the inventory and assessment of graduated National Greening Program (NGP) plantations after the 3-year comprehensive site development. It also aims to assess the initial gains of the Program, evaluate its impact to the community and environment based on perception of beneficiaries, and to examine the recording of reforestation projects in the Books of Accounts in accordance with the current government accounting policies and regulations.
The said event is participated by selected DENR Regional and Provincial Planning Officers and Accountants, Regional NGP Coordinators and Focal Persons, GIS Practitioners and Technical Staff, as well as representatives from the DENR Finance Management Service (FMS), Policy and Planning Service (PPS), Ecosystems Research and Development Bureau (ERDB) and the Geospatial Database Office (GDO).
The workshop will run until October 4th, 2023.
