Industrial Crops: Cacao

The visit aims to assess the site’s intercropping of cacao, banana and coconut, and to network with the PO, one of the beneficiaries of the DENR-NGP. Davao Region is referred to as the Cacao Capital of the Philippines for being the country’s top cacao producer. Last year, a total of 337,500 cacao seedlings were planted in Davao Region and 121,500 in Davao Occidental. Also in photo is Kinilidan Farmers Association chairman Michael L. Capoc.
