Kawayanan sa Pamayanan
September 26 – the Bureau conducted a workshop entitled “Kawayan sa Pamayanan” in celebration of the 2023 Philippine Bamboo Month, as per signed FMB Special Order No. 2023-246. The workshop was held on September 26, 2023, at the ERDB Auditorium, College, Los Baños, Laguna. It was facilitated by the Forest Resources Conservation Division and co-facilitated by the Bamboo Bootcamp led by Architect Jed Michael De Guzman as the resource person.
National Bamboo and Tree Planting Activity
National Bamboo and Tree Planting Activity is made possible in collaboration with the Philippine Bamboo Industry Development Council (PBIDC) and its regional and provincial counterparts, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), the Department of Interior and Local Government and its Local Government Units (LGUs), participation from different bamboo advocate groups and organizations, the Philippine National Police, Bureau of Fire Protection, Armed Forces of the Philippines and other private group and organizations. With a total land area of 170.5 hectares from 153 planting sites, we are able to plant 63,580 seedlings nationwide!
